Man Posing As A UConn Basketball Star Had Phone Sex With A Minor
CONNECTICUT– A 20-year-old man is accused of claiming he was a UConn basketball player and having phone sex and sexting a 13-year old New York girl.
Ernest Hamrick began contact with the teenager after accidentally dialing the wrong number. Hamrick then told the girl he was a player on the UConn basketball team, but the girl quickly realized it was not him after watching the game on TV. The two exchanged phone calls and texts 2,445 times between October and December; a number of the picture messages contained nude photos police say.
Hamrick was arrested after the teenager’s mother discovered that her daughter was in contact with Hamrick from October to early December. Hamrick faces third-degree illegal possession of child pornography charges.
