Do You Agree With The Death Penalty?

The death penalty is a very controversial punishment. Some argue that it is a powerful tool to deter crime and others say that it is cruel and unusual punishment.

Despite the fact that the death penalty goes against the Christian Commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Kill,” much of the support for the penalty comes from right-wing Christians.

Still, many opposed to the death penalty may have different views if one of their loved ones is killed.

But given the inefficiencies of our justice system, the death penalty is too often given to the poor and minorities and often results in innocent people being killed.
