SNL Celebrates Obama’s Last Christmas With ‘Jingle Barack’
In a skit taking a page from Run-D.M.C’s “Christmas in Hollis,” Kenan Thompson and Chance The Rapper (the musical guest for this week’s show) kill it in homage to our first Black president with “Jingle Barack” (sounds like “Jingle Bell Rock”) on Saturday Night Live.
DMC, aka Darryl McDaniels, made a guest appearance as himself in the video as did Casey Affleck, who played a break dancing Jesus. The skit managed to hit the issues of climate control, immigration, marijuana legalization and a host of other Barack-isms (including the cool of Joe Biden and Obama’s penchant for dad jeans). They also have a few bars for the new President-elect.
