Rush Limbaugh Says Idris Elba Should Not Play James Bond Because He’s Black!

Motor Mouth Almighty and right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh (pictured below) is offering his unsolicited opinion about the leak involving Sony execs reportedly recommending that actor Idris Elba (pictured) be given the title role of James Bond in the film franchise.

Limbaugh just wants to remind everyone that  “James Bond was white and Scottish, period” and that “We’ve had 50 years of white Bonds because Bond is white.  Bond was never Black. Ian Fleming never created a Black Brit to play James Bond,” according to E! News.

Limbaugh, who is opinionated and usually offensive, hosts a radio talk show, “The Rush Limbaugh Show.” On Tuesday, he reacted to news that Elba, who starred in the iconic HBO series, “The Wire,” and the BBC hit, “Luther,” would be pegged as the next Bond.  Currently, the role of the super sexy and suave agent is played by Daniel Craig whose contract with Columbia Pictures reportedly expires in the fall of 2015 after the release of the next Bond installment, “Spectre.”

Limbaugh then proceeded to ask his listeners what they would think if President Barack Obama were portrayed by George Clooney and the First Lady Michelle was played by Kate Hudson.

BTW and FYI, Sean Connery, who played Bond was Scottish, but many who followed him were not including George Lazenby, who is an Australian and Pierce Brosnan who hails from Ireland.
