America’s Daughters: Sex Trafficking Is A Global Issue [VIDEO]
As the world mobilizes to safely bring home 276 Nigerian girls who were kidnapped from their school in Chibok, Nigeria on April 14, the subject of human trafficking has risen to the fore.

According to The Polaris Project, an organization dedicated to the eradication of human trafficking, an estimated 21 million men, women, and children are trafficked globally, and the United States is not exempt. Whether it is girls forced into domestic labor or the sex trade, with the Super Bowl reportedly being the single, largest sex trafficking site in the United States, this nation has a long history of what Polaris calls “modern day slavery.”
In the spoken word piece, “America’s Daughters,” one survivor speaks of the terror, pain and fear that smothers you in a world where you are invisible to all but those who exploit you.
