Junior seau dead from possible suicide

Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau was found dead in his Oceanside, CA home from a self-afflicted gunshot wound, TMZ reports.

Officers told TMZ that the cause of death was a possible suicide.

Seau reportedly sent his ex-wife and three children text messages yesterday, saying that he loved them. His family says that they saw no signs of depression or any behavior that would suggest that he was suicidal.

Seau was one of the greatest linebackers to play the game after 13 seasons in the NFL. He is without question destined to be inducted into the Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible.

Seau was 43 years old.
