An NC Senate committee on May 13 unanimously advanced a bill that which would create the state’s first systematic K-8 math intervention program, modeled on Read to Achieve.

Enyia also said that Black communities need candidates willing to “make bold decisions” to impact people’s lives positively and who are committed to fighting for longer-term change.  

A generation of Black people fighting for liberation has been confined to the system; the Movement for Black Lives seeks to break the cycle of suppressing Black dissent in the fighting for Black liberation.
