From HuffingtonPost.com:
Yearning to get closer to President Obama? A rare opportunity just opened up.
The home next door to Barack and Michelle Obama in Kenwood’s mansion district was put on the market Friday. It is the “first time a home directly adjacent to a sitting president’s residence has been put on the open market,” according to NBC Chicago.
5040 S. Greenwood Avenue is a turn-of-the-century, 17-room, 6,000 square feet home one lot north of the Obamas. A former military boarding school, the home and its adjacent coach house occupy over 12,000 square feet of land, roughly the size of three standard city lots, according to the listing.
The home is owned by Bill Grimshaw, a political science professor, and Jacky Grimshaw, the vice president of policy at the Center for Neighborhood Technology and a former aide to Mayor Harold Washington.
