African Americans Overwhelmingly Believe Obama Deserves Reelection
African Americans Strongly Support Obama Reelection Bid
In a new BlackPlanet/NewsOne poll, 88 percent of African-Americans believe that President Barack Obama deserves a second term. Only 12 percent of those polled believe he should be a one-term president.
These numbers stand in sharp contrast to a recent USA Today poll where half of the country believes Obama doesn’t deserve a second term. 47 percent believe that he does.
The USA Today poll conducted was comprised of a mostly white caller-list compared to our predominantly African-American base on Blackplanet.com.
While the majority of African-Americans polled believe that Obama hasn’t done enough to focus on the high number of unemployed African-Americans, they also believe he would be better for the community than any Republican candidate.
