“In my legal opinion, that’s not really applicable to this case. The statute on ‘stand your ground’ is primarily when you’re in your house,” said Craig Sonner, attorney for George Zimmerman. In an exclusive interview with CNN, Craig Sonner addressed a wide range of issues ranging from accusations that Zimmerman is racist to whether or not he is even in the United States.

Sonner told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that his client was injured during the scuffle that ended with Trayvon being shot dead. According to Sonner, Zimmerman went to the hospital with a “broken nose and a serious cut to the back of his head.” He also denied that Zimmerman is racist.
When asked by Cooper if he knew where Zimmerman was located, Sonner said he didn’t know. But he believes Zimmerman is in the Sanford area.
