Obama Bin Laden Dead: Fox News Headline Typo Causes Backlash
Typo? Fox News Headline Reads “Obama Bin Laden Dead”
NEW YORK–A Sacramento Fox News affiliate, Fox 40, is receiving backlash after they displayed a typographical error stating “Obama Bin Laden Dead,” rather than the actual news of Osama Bin Laden’s death.

Former Fox News anchor Keith Olbermann criticized the company on Twitter saying “Note Fox News has switched to “Usama Bin Laden” presumably so they don’t get caught calling him “Obama Bin Laden” for the second time tonight.”
As we all know, it’s easy to make a typographical error. But the Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox News is notorious for its conservative bias, frequently displaying favouritism towards the political right. A Pew Research poll in 2009 found that 47% of those surveyed viewed the network as ‘mostly conservative’, compared to just 11% for CNN and MSNBC.
