Bernie Wilson, ‘Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes’ Member, Dead At 64
Philadelphia — Bernard “Bernie” Wilson, 64, who helped define the Sound of Philadelphia as a founding member of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, died early Sunday.
Mr. Wilson died at 12:26 a.m. at Kresson View Center nursing home in Voorhees, said his cousin, Faith Peace-Mazzccua, 54, of Bensalem. He had suffered a major stroke last year and a heart attack this year, she said.
