Police Suspect Foul Play In Teenage Girl’s Disappearance
BALTIMORE — City police said Monday they fear foul play in the disappearance of a North Carolina teen who went missing while spending Christmas break with relatives in Baltimore. Phylicia Barnes, 16, was reported missing on Dec. 28.
Investigators said she disappeared from the Reisterstown Square Apartments in the 6500 block of Eberle Drive, an area that is now awash in fliers with her picture. Barnes had a scheduled flight to North Carolina on Monday morning which she did not take.
Police said Barnes, who is from Monroe, N.C., has no history of criminal activity or running away from family.
