Police Drop Murder Charge Against Man In Harvard Killing
WOBURN, Mass. — Prosecutors have dropped a murder charge against one of three New York men held in a fatal shooting at Harvard University.
Prosecutors said Tuesday that 23-year-old Jason Aquino is now charged with being an accessory after armed robbery and carrying a firearm without a license. Arraignment is Wednesday.
He was originally charged with murder in the death of 21-year-old Justin Cosby, of Cambridge.
Jabrai (juh-BRY’) Jordan Copney and Blayn Jiggetts have been charged with first-degree murder in the May 18 shooting in a Harvard dorm. Copney has pleaded not guilty, and Jiggetts is awaiting extradition from New York.
Authorities say the three men intended to rob Cosby of marijuana and cash. None of the four attended Harvard.
