Thanksgiving 2010: Single Georgia Mom Of 4 Awarded New Home
Georgia — One Savannah family is living out the American dream this Thanksgiving, as a single mom and her four kids have a brand new home to call their own, thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
Most of us take the little things for granted, like having a kitchen where you can cook Thanksgiving dinner. But after struggling for years, Monique Black now has a home of her own where she can do just that.
“We’re very fortunate to have it, very fortunate to have Habitat and all the volunteers that worked on the house. If it wasn’t for the volunteers we wouldn’t be in here for the Thanksgiving holidays,” said Black.
