5 Columbia University Students Charged With Running Dorm Room Drug Ring
New York — In an what they call “Operation Ivy League,” five Columbia University students have been charged with selling marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy out of Columbia University dorm rooms by the NYPD. The New York Daily News reports:
The undergrads sold nearly $11,000 in cocaine, LSD, marijuana, ecstasy and other drugs to undercover cops over the last five months, cops said.
“This is no way to work your way through college,” said Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.
The arrested students – Chris Coles, 20; Harrison David, 20; Adam Klein, 20; Jose Stephan Perez, 20; and Michael Wymbs, 22 – are expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
