2 Women Shot, 1 Killed In Chicago
Police are searching for the ex-boyfriend of a woman critically injured in a shooting that left another woman dead in Chicago Heights Monday night.
Chicago Heights police said the man and his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend were arguing in her apartment in the 400 block of West 16th Street when he pulled out a gun and shot her in her chest and one of her arms. He also shot the woman’s friend, Marilyn Horton, in her head, killing her, police said. He then fled the scene, and remains at large today.
Horton, 29, for whom authorities had an address in the 300 block of West 16th Street, was pronounced dead at 8:54 p.m. at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Four Charged In Murder Of Chicago Honor Student
Her friend is in critical condition at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, authorities said.
Police said the 10-year-old son of the shooter and the injured woman witnessed the shooting.
