Singer Vesta Williams Found Dead In Hotel Room
According to various news sources on the web, singer Vesta Williams has reportedly been found dead in a hotel room in Hollywood, California.
The singer is most known for her classic song, “Congratulations.”
If the story of her death is true, Vesta Williams died at the age of 48, according to published reports. Though, in a recent interview, Williams said she was 53.
Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph said on Twitter, “I am so deeply saddened at the passing of my diva friend Vesta Williams. RIP Vesta.”
Although Williams never had any albums certified gold nor any Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, she scored seven Top 20 hits on the US Billboard R&B chart from the mid 1980s to the early 1990s.
She was a native of Ohio.
