Singer Nadja Benaissa Charged With Concealing HIV Disease From Partners
German singer Nadja Benaissa was charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a man who contracted H.I.V. after having unprotected sex with her admitted in court on Monday that she had concealed the fact that she was infected with the virus from the man, and from two other sexual partners.
Nadja Benaissa, a 28-year-old member of the girl group No Angels, was arrested last year before a concert in Frankfurt and held for 10 days. She now faces up to 10 years in prison if she is found guilty of violating Germany’s law against intentional or negligent transmission of H.I.V.
