Putin Says Bush Started Georgia Conflict to Help McCain
In an interview with CNN, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, said that the US had encouraged Georgia to attack the autonomous region of South Ossetia. Putin would tell CNN that, defense officials reported to him that the attack was done to benefit a presidential candidate.
Though he did not mention which candidate it was, given the fact that the GOP is currently in power and McCain has played his foreign affairs/war card, one would believe that Putin was referring to John McCain. ‘U.S. citizens were indeed in the area in conflict,” Putin said. They were acting in implementing those orders doing as they were ordered, and the only one who can give such orders is their leader.’
