UPDATE: Times Square Is Reopened After Bomb Scare
NEW YORK — The bomb squad of the New York Police Department squad says a suspicious cooler in Times Square is not a threat.
Streets have been reopened to traffic.
NEW YORK — Police are investigating the discovery of a suspicious package at New York City’s Times Square.
Police say the package is at 46th Street and Broadway, a few blocks from where a smoking SUV and failed car bomb was found Saturday night.
Television footage show several streets cleared of car traffic. Police didn’t immediately provide further details.
