Candace Owens, the pro-Trump conservative who can’t seem to stop digging herself a deeper sunken place, recently had a special guest on her YouTube series, The Candace Owens Show: Roseanne Barr.
The disgraced actrress had a lot to say about #MeToo accusers and even the presidential hopeful Kamala Harris. But the real atrocity came when Barr bashed the California senator as Owens allowed a black woman to be disrespected on her own show.
Barr’s ABC show “Roseanne” — a revival of her hit ‘90s sitcom about an average white working-class family in America — was canceled after the actress posted a racist tweet aimed at Valerie Jarrett, a former senior advisor to President Barack Obama. In the tweet, Barr compared Jarrett, who is Black, to an ape. The show was subsequently canceled and turned into a spinoff series called, “The Conners” that did not include Barr.
And so, it would follow, that Owens — who is no stranger to controversy after most recently being slammed recently for saying racism is over because she has “never been a slave in this country” — happily invited Barr on her show.
On the show, which aired Sunday, Barr and Owens seemed to form a sort of comradery in the form of taking swipes at sexual assault victims who have come forward during #MeToo era. Barr claimed the women were “pretending that they didn’t go to trade sexual favors for money.”
She continued:“Like if you don’t run out of the room and go, ‘Excuse me, you talk to me like that, you don’t do that to me, excuse me’ and leave, but you stayed around because you’re like, ‘Well, I thought maybe he was going to give me a writing job,’ well, you aren’t nothing but a ho.”
The conservative actress then turned her attention to Harris, who she said “slept her way to the bottom,” referring to the senator’s previous relationship with former San Fransisco Mayor Willie Brown.
Instead of putting political differences aside to not allow her platform to be used to validate Barr’s obvious racism, Owens readily agreed.
“Well, if we’re all going to pretend she didn’t do it, ok, well happy 2020 election cycle,” Owens said.
During the show, Barr also addressed her firing and continued to blame her medication for her racist tweets. Owens tried to justify Barr’s actions by slamming Black women as she claimed no one knew “that Valerie Jarrett was 10 percent Black.”
“Black-Ish” star Anthony Anderson responded to Barr and Owens’ comments, telling TMZ, “I don’t know what she said I heard about what she said. But what I heard, some people need help.”
There is no surprise that Anderson would not be a fan of Barr after “Roseanne” took a jab at “Black-Ish” and “Fresh Off the Boat in April 2018.”
