Fox News is now offering a weak apology. Jillian Mele said, “In an earlier version of this story, we showed you the wrong video,” she admitted. “We showed you pictures of Sen. Kamala Harris instead of Melvin Rowland’s mugshot. We apologize for that error.” However, there was no explanation on how this error even happened. Harris has no connection to the story, suggesting it was just Fox News being their racist selves. See the apology below.

This is regular behavior for Fox. When Aretha Franklin passed away after a long fight with pancreatic cancer, Fox News posted a photo of Patti LaBelle instead. See the photo below with Patti LaBelle in the corner:

Fox issue a bland apology, “We sincerely apologize to Aretha Franklin’s family and friends. Our intention was to honor the icon using a secondary image of her performing with Patti LaBelle in the full screen graphic, but the image of Ms. Franklin was obscured in that process, which we deeply regret.”

They regret nothing, especially their consistent racism.
