Black Man Who Trump Called ‘Thug’ And Ejected From Rally Is A Supporter

The man says Donald Trump "mistook" him for a paid protester.

A Black man escorted from a Donald Trump rally for protesting said he’s actually a supporter of the GOP presidential candidate, reports the News & Observer.

C.J. Cary told the newspaper that he went to an Oct. 26 rally in Kinston, North Carolina, to deliver a note to Trump that urged the candidate to be less offensive to Blacks, women, college students and the disabled.

Cary, who said he’s an ex-Marine, walked up to the front row and shouted “Donald” while waving his note.

He caught Trump’s attention, but didn’t get the response he hoped to receive.

“Were you paid $1,500 to be a thug?” Trump said, more as an accusation than a query. Shortly after, the candidate’s security escorted Cary from the event.

“He entirely mistook that and thought that I was a protester,” Cary said to the newspaper.

Trump has accused Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama of paying agitators $1,500 to disrupt his rallies.

The news outlet said Cary’s note to Trump included this message:

“I have to get ready to come to Kinston. Donald I am not including everything. But you must defeat lying Hillary and lying Obama. These characters are bad really bad.”

Cary told the newspaper that a Trump security official promised to deliver his note to the candidate.
