Suspect In Cleveland Death House Case To Be Arraigned
From CNN:
Cleveland, Ohio — Anthony Sowell will appear in court Friday to hear charges connected to strangling and raping a woman, a case that led to the grisly discovery of 11 bodies in his Ohio home, prosecutors said.
Sowell will be arraigned on multiple charges, including attempted murder, rape and kidnapping, connected to the assault of a 36-year-old woman on September 22, Cuyahoga County prosecutors said in a news release.
The alleged victim encountered Sowell while walking in his Cleveland neighborhood, and he took her back to his home, where he became violent and raped her, prosecutors said.
“While raping her, he strangled her with a cord until she lost consciousness,” the statement said. “When she regained consciousness, he led her out of the house.”
Police investigating that case searched Sowell’s home and found 11 bodies.
