Georgia Man Arrested For Placing Feces In Disabled Mother’s Mouth

A20-year-old man was arrested in Georgia on Thursday, after being accused of placing feces in his disabled mother’s mouth.

Richmond County officers charged Quami Dewayne Kelly with exploitation of the elderly or disabled, The Augusta Chronicle reports.

Kelly’s mother is 45 years old and was diagnosed with early dementia. She is unable to walk and talk and requires around the clock care.

Richmond County officers say they were called to Kelly’s home after his mother’s caretaker smelled something foul on the woman’s breath. At first she thought it was chocolate, but removed it quickly when she realized it was feces.

The caretaker said on Tuesday she noticed that Kelly walked over to the couch where his mother lay, leaned over, and placed something in her mouth before he left the house.

Kelly’s father says his son has exhibited strange behavior for the past few months and that he is unaware why he would commit such an act.
