NY Valedictorian Accepted At All 8 Ivies Will Attend Harvard
A Long Island, New York high school student who was accepted into 12 colleges, including all eight Ivies, plans to attend Harvard University in the fall, according to NBC News.
Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, 17, on Monday announced plans to join the university’s class of 2020.
From NBC:
“Frankly, one only hopes and dreams of getting into just one Ivy League school, however getting into all eight was unimaginable and has truly been an exciting and surreal experience,” Augusta said in a press release.

Aside from maintaining a 101.64 weighted-grade point average at Elmont Memorial High School, she was named a finalist in the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search.
Her research on cement and oil wells led her all the way to Washington, D.C., this spring, where she presented her findings at President Barack Obama’s annual White House Science Fair.
Last year, another Elmont student, Harold Ekeh, was also accepted at all eight Ivies.
