Within hours, he garnered 1 million followers, and he’s following 65 people, including First Lady Michelle Obama at @Flotus, Chicago sports teams, and government officials, among others. No sign of Malia or Sasha, who are reportedly banned from all forms of social media.
The president has previously been tweeting via @BarackObama, which is run by staff at Organizing for Action and connected to his presidential campaign.
We’re excited for a new personalized social media account from Barack.
