Are Beyonce & Jay Z Secretly Helping #BlackLivesMatter Protesters?

Jay Z’s meeting with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his behind the scenes maneuvering to help players like LeBron James get “I Can’t Breathe” shirts in the wake of Eric Garner’s death have been well documented.

But according to social activist and author dream hampton, the Carters are also financially contributing to help those jailed during protests in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland.

“When we needed money for bail for Baltimore protestors, I asked hit Jay up, as I had for Ferguson, wired tens of thousands in mins,” hampton tweeted.

hampton, who also co-authored Jay Z’s New York Times-bestselling book Decoded, said Jay and Beyonce contributed “a huge check” to help the #BlackLivesMatter movement develop an infrastructure.

The tweets have since been deleted, as Hampton predicted before launching the social media missive.
