Man Arrested After Throwing Banana Peel At Dave Chappelle On New Mexico Stage

A 30-year-old man was arrested at a New Mexico show headlined by Dave Chappelle after he decided to throw a banana peel at him on stage.
Christian Englander was charged with suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and battery for throwing the piece of fruit at the comedian, which ended up hitting him in the leg.
The man claimed that he was offended by Chappelle after he made jokes about his friends throughout the Santa Fe set.
According to Yahoo! News,
The friend reportedly was drawing in a sketchbook during the show when Chappelle noticed and asked the man his name, which he gave as “Johnny Appleseed,” said Santa Fe police Lt. Andrea Dobyns.
Chappelle then made jokes about the moniker, the police spokeswoman said, “so that’s when Englander got upset.”
Arresting officers said Englander appeared to be intoxicated after event security escorted him outside.
The Police Lt. also claimed that Englander has been in jail as of today, and does not know if there is an attorney who will be speaking on his behalf.
But we just have to ask — where does one get a banana during a comedy set? The world may never know.
