Rainbow PUSH Holds 18th Annual Economic Summit in NYC
The conversation about the need to fully include people of color in America’s economic growth has shifted, in many ways, from Wall Street to Silicon Valley. That shift is reflected in the theme of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s 18th Annual Wall Street Project Economic Summit, which is “Where Wall Street, Main Street & Silicon Valley Converge.” The gathering is being held Jan. 13-15 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in Manhattan.
Speakers include Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr., founder and president of Rainbow PUSH Coalition; Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers; Hon. Ras Baraka, mayor of Newark, N.J., and Hon. Maxine Waters (D, Calif.). Alfred C. Liggins, III, president and CEO of Radio One (the parent company of NewsOne) and chairman and CEO of TVOne, LLC, is among the honorary co-chairs.
