Marquis Govan makes a compelling argument for change in Ferguson. In an interview with CBS “Sunday Morning,” the 11-year-old shared how he thinks his community should move forward in the wake of Michael Brown’s killing at the hands of a Ferguson police officer.
When asked by the CBS reporter why there aren’t many people of color on the police force, Govan answered, “Look, let me tell you why: From the beginning we’ve felt abused by these people. Why would you go up to serve among the abusers? It doesn’t make any sense.”
Sounds right on to me.
