Don Lemon Compares Spanking To Training Dogs

CNN’s Don Lemon is known for making controversial, often questionable, statements. Well, in this week of “Don Lemon Said What,” the anchor raised eyebrows while trying to defend spanking as a form of discipline for raising children. He championed its merits partly based on its effectiveness in training dogs.

“Listen, I went to training — I hate to do this — with my dog, and fear is the same thing,” Lemon said. “You have to teach who’s in control.”

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s fear or what have you, I’m saying this, because it stops you from doing it,” he added.
