“I wanna know the things you wanna know,” said Wendy. “What happened with R. Kelly? What was going on with Dame Dash? What was Aaliyah’s personal life really like? How did her parents react to the R. Kelly thing, her brother, and the whole bit? So you can count on your girl.”

And you know if anyone gets the tea and spills it, it’s Wendy Williams.
As previously reported by NewsOne, Disney star Zendaya Coleman was originally tapped to bring the story of late R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton to life. She removed herself from the role after online backlash claiming that she wasn’t “black enough” to play Aaliyah escalated into a frenzy.
Nickelodeon actress Alexandra Shipp has now been tapped to bring Baby Girl’s story to the small screen.
