NY Rep. Co-Signs AG’s Move To Reduce Drug-Related Sentences
As previously reported by NewsOne, Attorney General Eric Holder has asked for a change in how federal sentencing guidelines are used to handle the cases of drug trafficking offenders. Under a new proposal, only the most-serious offenders would receive the tougher penalties under the law thus reducing sentences.
New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries joined “NewsOne Now” Friday to share his thoughts on Holder’s plan to reduce some drug-related sentences.
