Baby Kicked Out Of Burger King For Not Having Shoes
Burger King has apologized to a St. Louis area woman who was told to leave a restaurant because her 6-month-old daughter wasn’t wearing shoes.
A spokeswoman for the restaurant chain said Wednesday that workers at the Sunset Hills Burger King took the “no shoes, no shirt, no service” policy too far.
Jennifer Frederich went to the restaurant Sunday along with her mother and Jennifer’s 6-month-old daughter, Kaylin. Workers told them to leave because of the shoeless baby, citing a health code violation.
They ate hurriedly, then left.
Burger King spokeswoman Denise Wilson says health codes do not include no-shoes provisions; it is simply restaurant policy.
Frederich and her family were offered a free meal.
