NewsOne’s Own Featured On ‘Today’ Show Father’s Day Segment
This morning NBC’s “Today” show aired a segment that featured the story of how NewsOne‘s Associate Editor, Terrell Jermaine Starr, found his father on Facebook while studying in Ukraine as a Fulbright Scholar.
If you remember, Starr wrote a poignant piece on the journey he and his father took once we found each on Sept. 15, 2009.
You can read the piece he wrote last year for NewsOne here: Friend Request Accepted! What Finding My Dad On Facebook Has Meant To Me
Since that piece was written, Terrell and his father have been interviewed by local New York TV stations. Facebook even published a newer, more in-depth version of their story on its editorial platform, “Facebook Stories.” You can read it here: http://www.facebookstories.com/stories/21
