Spike Lee: ‘Django Unchained’ Is Disrespectful To My Ancestors [VIDEO]
Director Spike Lee, who has had a Black woman play a crackhead, a Black man get drunk and kill his wife and a Black teenager have a threesome with White women, says that he won’t be watching the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Django Unchained’ because it’s disrespectful to his ancestors, reports Essence.com.

“All I’m going to say is that it’s disrespectful to my ancestors,” says Lee. “That’s just me…I’m not speaking on behalf of anybody else.”
‘Django’ stars Jamie Foxx as a freed slave who joins up with a bounty hunter while he’s searching for his wife, Kerry Washington. They end up on the Candie Land plantation where Samuel L. Jackson plays the contemptible overseer, Stephen.

In the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre, during which 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother, before going on a rampage and murdering 20 children and 6 adults, then killing himself, the premiere of ‘Django’ was postponed due to excessive violence and out of respect to the victims:
