President Barack Obama In Tears: ‘I’m Really Proud Of All Of You’
In a riveting and extremely moving moment, the newly re-elected 44 President of the United States, Barack Obama, thanks campaign staff and volunteers for their extraordinary commitment to him and to changing the country. He talks about his early days in Chicago as a community organizer, telling the rapt audience that “it’s not that you remind me of myself, it’s that you’re so much better.”
He goes on to tell them that they are his hope for the future and the reason that he is able to navigate Washington in the face of opposition — because they give him the strength to believe that he can make a difference.
Then with tears in his eyes, he says: “I’m really proud of that; I’m really proud of all of you.”
We’re proud of you too, Mr. President.
