Gingrich Clashes With Juan Williams Over Race At Debate
Black Moderator Booed By Audience In S.C. Debate
During last night’s Fox News GOP debate in South Carolina, candidate Newt Gingrich and moderator Juan Williams over issues regarding race and public assistance.
Williams asked asked Gingrich if his comments about having 9-year-olds work as janitors were “at a minimum as insulting to all Americans, but particularly to black Americans?”
Williams followed up, asking if Gingrich’s recent statements were “intended to belittle the poor and racial minorities” to which the mostly white Republican crowd booed. After Gingrich responded by once again, criticizing President Barack Obama, for putting more people have been put on food stamps by Obama than any president in American history,”
