Classless? NFL Player Mocks Plaxico Burress Gun Incident During Game
Buffalo Bills receiver Stevie Johnson pretended to shoot himself in the thigh, mocking Jets receiver Plaxico Burress’ 2008 shooting incident, during a game Sunday.
After scoring a touchdown against the New York Jets, Johnson began dancing, then reenacted his opponent’s shooting incident.
Burress shot himself in the thigh at a nightclub in Manhattan in 2008, subsequently serving two years in prison for criminal possession of a weapon.
The double-trouble touchdown celebration immediately gained the Twitterverse’s attention. Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe ripped Johnson, calling him “classless.”
