Does America Care About Its Black Veterans?
Close to half of the nation’s estimated 131,000 homeless veterans are African American, according to a report by the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
The shocking number shook the core of Washington D.C. and the country when released.
Upon hearing the numbers, President Barack Obama made a pledge to end homelessness among veterans within five years.
So now the question is, do you think this country will keep their promise to end homelessness in the next five years? And do you think Black Americans who serve in the armed forces in this country are genuinely cared about or just used as more war fodder?
