President Barack Obama and the Congressional Black Caucus seem to be mending their contentious relationship after a summer of infighting between both parties.

This reconciliation is no coincidence, as both the White House and the CBC anticipate a hard fought battle for the 2012 presidential election.
CBC chairman Emanuel Cleaver recently told a reporter that “most CBC members are feeling better” about the direction the president is taking.
