Sean Bell’s Killers Should Be Fired
The Atlantic blogger Ta-Nehisi Coates recently wrote a post on the NYPD trial of the police officers who were involved in the controversial killing of Sean Bell.
While Coates believes that a cop who made a mistake like in the Sean Bell case shouldn’t be sent to jail, he does believe that their job status needs to be reconsidered.

I have no reason to doubt that Officer Isnora when he says he thought members of Sean Bell’s party were armed. But he thought wrong. Detective Isnora should be made to explore another career path.
