Republican commentator Pat Buchanan came to the defense of Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain who recently said that Black voters have been “brainwashed” against the GOP.
On Martin Bashir’s MSNBC show, Buchanan said “Blacks bought a lot of propaganda on the liberal plantation.”

He contends that African Americans have embraced “great society liberalism” to their detriment and doing so has contributed to high numbers of black kids born out of wedlock and low high school graduation rates. Buchanan went on to say that he applauds the accomplishments of Cain because he went against the grain by succeeding as a tough black businessman in the face of adversity in a tough world.
