Army Bans Soulja Boy Over “F The Army Troops” Lyrics
After rapper Soulja Boy said “F–k the FBI and the army troops … fighting for what?” in a recent song, the military has banned Soulja Boy albums from Army and Air Force Exchange Service stores.
Soulja Boy’s apology for the song may have come too late, and his management team is in damage control over the song.
The New York Daily News reports:
The Exchange is set up by the United States Department of Defense to sell products, with the purpose of generating income for the United States Army and Air Force Morale.
The move was announced by LTC Thomas Shrader, who also said that the lyrics “are unacceptable and not the kind of thing we would want to market.”
