Ex-NFL Player And Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Student
TAMPA-Dwight Levasiyea Ellick, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and high school teacher was charged with having sex with a minor after allegations that he had sex with a 16-year-old female student.
Ellick went to Notre Dame and briefly played cornerback for the Buccaneers.
ABC News reports:
According to a police statement, “On June 8th, 2010, school officials contacted Tampa Police regarding a teacher involved in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. The suspect was involved in a sexual encounter with the student at his residence on June 4th.”
The student had told some friends about the encounter. School officials heard about the incident on June 8 and contacted authorities.
