Bachmann’s Views On Slavery Are Worse Than You Thought
A new article in the American Prospect details how presidential candidate Michele Bachmann’s views on slavery may be worse than we ever thought.
A month ago, Bachmann got herself in hot water when it was discovered that she signed a pledge created by a Iowa social conservative group that stated “black child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African American President.”
In an article in this week’s Newsweek Magazine, Ryan Lizza writes about Bachmann saying that her views on slavery aren’t a series of gaffes, but possibly a “world view.”
