Michele Bachmann Criticizes Black Farmer Settlement
Why Does The GOP Keep Picking On Black Farmers?
Presidential candidate and Tea Party favorite Rep. Michele Bachmann is once again stirring up controversy for comments she made against Black farmers.
Bachmann told reporters on Monday that Pigford v. Glickman, a class action settlement that awarded billions to Black farmers who were discriminated against, is rife with fraud and should be diverted to flood victims.
Though her comments come at a time when flood victims are in need of support, Bachmaan has been accussed of using racial politics to gain support during an election year on other occasions.
