Court Overturns Michigan’s Affirmative Action Ban
ANN ARBOR — The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit overturned Michigan’s 2006 ban on affirmative action.
The New York Times reports:
The court’s 2-to-1 ruling, which is likely to be appealed, said the voter-approved ban “unconstitutionally alters Michigan’s political structure by impermissibly burdening racial minorities.”
